Frequently Asked Questions

At what age should I start teaching my children about money?

You can begin much earlier than most people think. Young children can learn simple ideas such as saving, sharing, giving, and the difference between needs and wants. As they grow, the conversations can expand to earning, budgeting, credit, investing, and long-term goals. The goal is to make financial learning age-appropriate and part of everyday family life.

You do not need a large amount of money to begin building a strong financial foundation. Family wealth starts with habits, education, protection, preparation, and intentional decisions. Small steps—such as creating a savings habit, reviewing family protection, talking openly about money, or setting a future goal—can make a meaningful difference over time.

How do I involve my children in financial conversations?

Start with simple conversations that fit their age. You might involve them in setting a savings goal, comparing prices, discussing needs versus wants, planning for a family purchase, or deciding how to divide money between spending, saving, and giving. As children mature, they can gradually participate in more detailed conversations about budgeting, education costs, credit, and long-term goals.

Do you offer services for grandparents?

Yes. Grandparents can play an important role in family financial education and legacy building. Conversations may include supporting grandchildren’s future goals, sharing family values, exploring appropriate financial education strategies, reviewing beneficiary considerations, and thinking intentionally about the legacy you want to pass to future generations.

How do I get started?

Start with the question or goal that matters most to your family. You can request a Family Wealth Conversation or begin with the Start Here page. The first conversation is education-focused and designed to help you clarify your priorities, understand your options, and identify an appropriate next step.
